  • The Picos de Europa, without a doubt the most impressive mountains in all of Spain, emerge dramatically from the coastal landscape as a natural frontier between the green north coast and the more arid Castille. This program offers a variety of landscapes to explore in the Eastern and Central Massifs, with the option of choosing easier or more difficult daywalks.

  • The Sierra de Grazalema is an "undiscovered" oasis of green, a mountainous area adorned by picturesque white-washed villages such as Grazalema or Montejaque. A landscape of limestone sculptures marked by deep gorges, where vultures nest among the cliff tops. At lunchtime, stop off to replenish your energy with a round of tapas and vino enjoyed on an outdoor terrace.

  • When the Creator was putting finishing touches on Southern Europe, he created the island of Mallorca with all the leftovers of Mediterranean landscapes. This is what the Mallorquins say when explaining the attractive diversity of their homeland. Gently rolling inland hill, sandy beaches, impressive sea cliffs, subtropical woodlands and a massive limestone mountain range.

  • Gran Canaria gives new meaning to the words ‘desert island’. Approaching it for the first time, you see none of the beauty associated with La Gomera or La Palma: arid terrain, hothouses and poor urban planning.Yet as you venture north, the terrain opens up and true marvels appear: Agaete Valley, an oasis of tropical plantations and tiny white villages.

FAQs

Spain’s most famous trail is Camino de Santiago. The Caminos of Spain, all of which head towards Santiago de Compostela, are a group of incredible hikes across all Spain. Every section of every route is packed with regional cuisine, rich culture and friendly people. There is a magic to walking the Camino, a deep feeling that you and your fellow walkers are in it together, which forms bonds that last a lifetime.

Without a doubt! Spain offers a wide range of weather conditions, including some tropical climates during the winter months. For those looking to escape the colder months, the Canary Islands provides the ideal temperatures, ranging from a minimum of 16ºC / 60.8 F to a maximum of approximately 25ºC / 77 F.

Some parts in Spain can reach temperatures as high as 45ºC / 113 F, but there are also cooler regions like northern Spain. The Basque Country, Asturias and Galicia attract both national and international tourists during the summer months, as the temperature in July or August does not normally exceed 25ºC / 77 F.

In general, spring and autumn are the best periods to visit Spain. During those months, the temperatures are perfect for active holidays, and the weather is pleasant throughout the country. Spring showcases vibrant flowers, while autumn presents valleys adorned with orange foliage that will captivate your senses.

Definitely, all the major cities are linked by air, and fresh direct train connections are introduced annually. When it comes to covering long distances and lacking a high-speed train, flying is the best option. For shorter to moderate distances, getting around Spain can be easily done by train or bus.
